Support For Homeschoolers
Developing a homeschooling curriculum suited to your child’s needs can be a daunting task. Not only does one have to consider what to include but what resources are available and how to go about implementing it.
To help with this difficult task, I have put together the following introductory video. Section A deals with the important question: What pathways to tertiary studies are available to homeschoolers studying History and ideas on how to develop an effective History curriculum at home. Part B looks at the important question: Why study History? This examines the importance of History in anyone’s general education. Part B is also available to download separately (see below) as part of the free Introduction to History course.

History Units for Homeschoolers
Units for Homeschoolers
I offer a series of History study units for homeschoolers through
http:///www.homeschoolingaustralia.org
The first unit is a free unit. It includes a 17 minute introduction to the study of History video and downloadable workbook. This is downloadable as a Word document from the above site. Together, with the video, it is designed as a 4 hour unit of study. It involves a range of written tasks as well as links to Youtube clips relevant to the course of study.
My units are aimed at a range of skill levels allowing the units to be completed by students from upper primary to senior, in keeping with their respective levels of development.
Often parents have a number of children and find it easier if the children can study common units at the same time. By designing learning activities that allow for this, units of work become much more friendly for homeschoolers.
These units can be used as stand-
